Recommendations, not ratings

Jane doesn’t rate him. She recommends him.

Emma asks the Community. Her request goes, anonymously, to members in Ericeira. Jane, two doors down, recommends João through Poe, and over the gate she finds out it was Emma. Only recommendations from members who used the service are counted. No anonymous stars, no public reviews, no paid rankings. You see how many members recommend someone and what they noticed, like great English or a fair price.

Does Poe write recommendations for people?

No. Poe reads what you write and asks only for what's missing. It never invents a recommendation, and it never rewrites your words: what other members see is what you actually said.

Is Poe a person?

No. Poe is our AI assistant. It takes your recommendations now, and it will find recommended pros once search launches. It doesn’t answer other questions; real people oversee the rules, checks and reviews behind it.

Do I need to speak Portuguese?

No. A pro's English is confirmed by the members who recommended them, not by the business's own claim. And you can write your recommendation in English or Portuguese. Poe speaks both.

Who sees my request when I ask the Community?

Members in your town only. You stay anonymous; they answer through Poe with pros they've used themselves, and your account shows who came recommended. Free members can ask 1 a month once their first recommendation is accepted; Premium members ask whenever they need.

What does Premium add?

Unlimited saving with favourites, notes, tags and filters, Ask the Community whenever you need, your full impact and honours, and Feedback, where Premium members help decide what we build next. €9.99 a month, €49 a year, or €149 once. Recommending and sharing stay free with a confirmed email.

Can I see what my recommendations do?

Yes. Your recommendations and whether they were accepted are always yours to see. Premium adds what happened next: profile views, contact taps, the towns and services you cover, and your honours. A map is coming soon. None of it changes how anyone appears.
